MSG Black ERG Celebrates Juneteenth with Youth Community Event Featuring Sports Arts Education and Cultural Activities

In honor of the upcoming Juneteenth holiday, our MSG Black ERG teamed up with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and SCAN-Harbor to host a Juneteenth Community Event for over 150 young people in the Bronx. The event was a fun-filled day that included clinics with the Knicks and Rangers, dance classes with the Rockettes and Knicks City Dancers, a #Juneteenth read-aloud by celebrity guest Amirah Vann, and a culinary station where the youth could refuel with a healthy fruit and yogurt parfait of their own creation. While the day was full of food, fun, and plenty of smiles, the event also helped bring awareness and further education to the youth about Juneteenth.

Attending the Diversity in Sports Forum on Networking and Leadership

Had the pleasure of listening in live earlier this week at the Diversity in Sports Forum. We commonly hear the phrase, β€œIt’s not about what you know, It’s about who you know.” I appreciate Samantha Vance who took it a step further to say β€œIt’s not about who you know, or what you know. It’s about who you are connected to. Who will pick up the phone when you call?” That was powerful. Thankful for all the voices up there that lended invaluable insights. hashtag#impact hashtag#diversity hashtag#networking hashtag#relationships hashtag#forum
