Paramount BEAT+ ERG Black History Month Pass the Mic Legacy in Motion Series
It’s been a while—missed me? Let’s just say my new year officially started in February! As we close out Black History Month, I couldn’t let this moment pass without sharing the incredible programming we put together. Being part of the BEAT+ leadership team at Paramount has been an honor, and this month was nothing short of inspiring. With our theme "Pass the Mic: Legacy in Motion," we celebrated how our work continues to uplift Black culture, honor our legacy, and drive our community forward. We created spaces for reflection, conversation, and action—through both virtual and in-person events.✨ Some key highlights from the month:A Seat at the Table – A powerful discussion featuring company leaders-Destiney Bishop, Tiyale Hayes, Courtney Oliver, Reginald Dozier II, Brittany Taylor.A conversation with Morris Chestnut and Nischelle Turner – A deep dive into his career and his upcoming CBS series, Watson. For the Culture – A celebration of influential leaders shaping culture and industry such as Imani Ellis, Kimberly Evans Paige, Steve Pamon, Bevy Smith.Writing a New Legacy – A thought-provoking dialogue with NABJ journalists Bonita Sostre, Ken Lemon, and more commemorating NABJ’s 50th anniversary and discussing the state of media. We had some heavy hitters in the building, and the conversations were nothing short of impactful! This was more than just a month of programming—it was a testament to the power of storytelling, representation, and community. Grateful to my fellow ERG leaders and the Office of Global Inclusion who had a hand making this happen.Let’s keep the momentum going—our legacy is always in motion. 💜✊🏾If you tuned into any of our events for the month, What resonated most with you?
