Bank of America's NYC Market President's Office Launches Global Cultural Heritage Network Chapters
April at Bank of America marks Global Service Month β a period of time when colleagues around the world come together to connect their passion with purpose. Service Month is an invaluable opportunity to unite communities and make a positive impact. Whether itβs volunteering, fundraising, or spreading awareness, itβs a chance to contribute to causes larger than ourselves and create lasting change. Last Wednesday, the NYC Market President's office, in partnership with the Employee Network hashtag#MSAG, hosted Admiral James Stavridis. A decorated Naval Officer and author, Admiral James shared some of his experiences during his time in the Navy and gifted the audience with an autographed copy of his New York Times Best Seller "2054". From his time in in the Navy, to serving his nation and community through various capacities and initiatives, Admiral James truly demonstrates "Non sibi sed patriae" meaning "Not self but country." He serves as a reminder for us to disagree without being disagreeable, and with that to remain consistent to our values while always being respectful. The NYC Market President's office closed out the week, with the launch of our Global Cultural Heritage Network to create the Arab Heritage Chapter and the Jewish Heritage Chapter. With 11 Employee Networks, Bank of America's commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusion is just one of the many reasons why our company is a Great Place to Work. Intentionally these two events highlight our motto "What would you like the power to do?" empowering us all to be the change we want to see in the world and achieve this by being the best versions of ourselves each and everyday. Here at Bank of America, we encourage and promote an environment where we can bring our authentic selves to work in order to collaborate and contribute to dialogue that will lead to meaningful change. U.S. Bank Employee Development Network Brings Illinois Teams Together for a Leadership Panel
Last night, I got to check something new off my career bucket list β moderating a panel.Iβve done some pretty cool things in my job, but hosting a panel? That was a first. And wowβ¦ what an experience.Employees from across Illinois β from those working behind the scenes to those on the front lines with our customers β all came together for our annual Employee Development Network event. Itβs where ideas, experiences, and a whole lot of passion for what we do come together in one room. Now, maybe Iβm biased (I was the moderator, after all), but this might just be one of the best events Iβve ever attended. Thoughtful conversations, genuine connections, and a shared commitment to growing together β it was everything this network is meant to be.Huge shoutout to everyone who participated and made it such a success. Canβt wait to see what we do next year β although, full disclosure, I might have developed a taste for moderating now. π€π Michael Johnson Jennifer Uhri#EmployeeDevelopment #Networking #Leadership #Teamwork #usbank
